We’ve loved Jimmy Fallon since his days at the Saturday Night Live Weekend Update desk. He rocks the whole boyish-charm-unassuming-funny-guy thing to a T.
We’ve loved Jimmy Fallon since his days at the Saturday Night Live Weekend Update desk. He rocks the whole boyish-charm-unassuming-funny-guy thing to a T. So how did we end up making 60 cookies for the entire Late Night with Jimmy Fallon crew? Basically, it was pure luck. It turns out that one of our recent customers helps manage Jimmy’s house band, The Roots. She mentioned that Bruce Springsteen (!) would be performing on the show tonight and asked if we’d maybe like to send over some cookies to help them celebrate. Um yes. We would like to send cookies to Jimmy Fallon.
It’s Jimmy Fallon’s show, so of course he gets TWO cookies with his likeness. What do you suppose it’s like to eat your own face?
Is it possible that Bruce Springsteen will eat a Whipped Bakeshop cookie? Please let it be so! It’s freakin’ Bruce Springsteen. BRUUUUUUCCCCEEEEE! You should buy his new album, “The Promise“. It’s a two-disc set that finally releases the unpublished songs created during the “Darkness on the Edge of Town” sessions.
Of course, we had to include Philly’s own Questlove and Black Thought from The Roots. How did we go this long without making Roots cookies? It boggles the mind.
So, Jimmy, Questlove, Black Thought and Bruce–if you read this post–we hope you like your vanilla and gingerbread cookies! We think the piping hand cramps were totally worth it. HUGE thanks to Alexis Rosenzweig for making this whole thing happen. Make sure you get a cookie Alexis.
