Cake Care + Serving
How to Handle Your Cake
Carry your cake with both hands underneath the box. Place it on a flat space in your car, such as the trunk or on the floor behind a seat. Drive gently!
Cakes are best served at room temperature. If you're serving your cake today, please do not refrigerate it. Keep it in a cool, safe location, out of direct sunlight. If you're serving your cake another day, please refrigerate it and then pull it out 4-5 hours before serving.
Remove any 3D decorations or toppers before cutting your cake. We do not recommend eating them. Please also remove any dowels and other support materials inside the cake as you slice.
We always love to see your cake pictures!

Our standard layer cakes are approximately 4.5 to 5” tall and consist of 4 layers of cake sandwiched with three layers of filling.

What's Inside

Cutting the Cake
These diagrams show a top-down view of how each size cake is cut. The cutting patterns are for illustration purposes, but they give you the basic idea of how large tiers are sliced. If you have a caterer, they will know exactly how to cut the cake so that each guest gets about the same size piece. Enjoy your Whipped Bakeshop cake!
