We made cookies for Lizzo when she came to Philadelphia for a concert at the Wells Fargo Center! Our genius cookie decorator Liz McHale spent an entire day crafting a special cookie portrait to give to Lizzo as an artist gift from LiveNation. Ally, one of our cake decorators, got to go to the concert and she said it was a total lovefest. Thank you to Lizzo and LiveNation for the amazing project!

We recently helped Campbell’s Soup celebrate the 125th anniversary of their invention of condensed soup. We made a giant soup can cake (4:1 scale), several serving cakes and over 500 cupcakes using Campbell’s own Tomato Soup spice cake recipe paired with our signature old fashioned vanilla icing.
The soup can cake was incredibly heavy, weighing in at about 50 lbs, and required a lot of extra internal supports. The cake survived the journey from Philly to Camden, NJ and the event was a huge hit!

We are pleased to announce that we been selected as a 2022 winner of The Knot Best of Weddings, an accolade representing the highest- and most-rated wedding professionals as reviewed by real couples, their families and wedding guests on The Knot, a leading all in one wedding planning destination.
This year, only five percent of hundreds of thousands of local wedding professionals listed on The Knot received this award. We are thrilled to be counted among such an elite group.
To determine the winners, The Knot analyzed its millions of user reviews across various vendor categories to find the highest rated vendors of the year. These winners represent the best of the best wedding professionals that engaged couples should consider booking for their own unique weddings.

We got a call from the one and only Stephen Starr last week! Mr. Starr needed a 30th birthday cake for his daughter Sarah. He wanted something dramatic, and gave us total creative freedom on the design (which we love). Here’s what we came up with!
The flavors were classic vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream icing.
Design by Zoe Lukas, baking by Jillian Magee & Abbey Biery, decor/assembly by Zoe Lukas, Jess Alber and Colleen Groh. Terrifying yet safe delivery to the Jersey Shore by Brennen and Zoe. Yes, the whole team works together on cakes like this, which is how we like to do things.
Thanks again to Stephen Starr for choosing us be a part of your celebration!
We just opened our Mother’s Day Shop, so now’s the time to pre-order some special treats for Mom! We are featuring a stunning MOMosa cake (mimosa cake + orange meringue buttercream) as well as two beautiful cupcake sets with special flavors.
Happy Mother’s Day from our family to yours!
This week, the team over at Wedding Rule surprised us by naming us the best wedding cake baker in Philadelphia! Here’s what they had to say:
A fixture in the Philadelphia area since 2009, Whipped Bakeshop prides itself on creating edible works of art that perfectly fit a couple’s style. With moist cakes and artful designs that will amaze your guests, Zoe’s sweet tooth and creative spirit drove her to open up her bakery in 2009. Since then, she and her talented team have made thousands of cakes for couples all over the Philadelphia area. Your dream cake will become a reality under Whipped Bakeshop’s loving hands.
Baking is hard work, so it feels amazing to get this kind of recognition. We are so proud to be a part of the Philadelphia wedding community. There are lots of other great bakeries included in the article, so go ahead and check it out!
About a year ago, just before the Covid lockdowns, we made this really cool Southwest-inspired cake for Eagles kicker Jake Elliott’s wedding at the Horticultural Center. There were so many incredible details to the event, so go ahead and check out Philadelphia Magazine’s rundown with more photos by We Are The Kruks. If you read the article, you’ll find out that Elliott proposed to bride Annie Timyan in the cutest way! Wedding planning by All About Events.
Philadelphia Style listed us among the 9 Best Bakeries in Philadelphia! From the article:
“Whether you are celebrating a birthday, a new job, a baby shower or a holiday, Whipped Bakeshop provides sweet treats for any occasion. Their easter cupcake collection showcases coconut cake with lemon curd and vanilla buttercream, carrot cake with ginger cream cheese icing and chocolate peanut butter cake with chocolate easter eggs on top.”

A reporter over at Al Día recently reached out to us to learn our story and see how Whipped Bakeshop is faring during the Covid-19 pandemic. We told her that business survival has involved a lot of pivoting, but our small team is remaining strong thanks to the support our loyal customers. You can read the whole article here. Thanks to Tiffany Rivera for the lovely piece!

We recently created some unique custom cookies for Bulgari, an Italian luxury brand. Taylor Moore, Bulgari’s Senior Manager of Events & Promotions said this about the cookie project:
“I discovered Whipped Bakeshop through social media and was impressed by your creativity and delicate attention to detail within all of your delicious looking creations! We wanted to provide a sweet takeaway for clients within many of our local boutiques during the Lunar New Year holiday – and Mandarin Oranges, as a sign of good luck and good will for the new year, felt like the perfect cookie fit!”
Our team had to work around a snowstorm. Despite the weather, we were able to ship the cookies across the country to the various Bulgari boutiques. We have dealt with some tough shipping delays this year, so we were grateful when all of the cookie packages arrived safely.
Taylor reported that the “oranges” were a big hit.
It’s fun to create custom cookies for brands! We can make logo cookies or more stylized options as we did with the oranges.
If you’d like to order custom cookie gifts for your brand, please fill out our contact form.
Micro weddings with small guest counts are a major trend in 2021 as we all do our part to slow the spread of Covid-19. But going small doesn’t mean you have to give up on having an amazing wedding cake. Many of our online order cakes are now available as micro wedding cakes serving 10-30 guests. You can select one or two tiers for your cake, and choose fancy design and flavor options like metallic gold leaf or dripped ganache.
We adore making micro cakes because they look so compact and perfect. With the right cake stand and accessories, you can create an amazing look for your photos. We look forward to making big wedding cakes again once it’s safe, but in the meantime, relatively tiny cakes are the way to go.
Pick-up and local Philadelphia delivery options are available for weddings. Many couples are opting to pick up their micro wedding cakes themselves. It saves some money and smaller cakes are very easy to transport. Remember, the sooner you place your order, the better! We do book up for popular dates.
If you’d like to discuss a customized wedding cake (of any size) or if you want to taste our flavors, please start by filling out our Wedding Survey. After that, we will set up a consultation with one of our artists. We are currently conducting our cake tastings via Zoom. So, you’ll choose your desired flavors and pick up your cake samples ahead of time. This lets you and your partner taste the flavors during our call.
During our Zoom call, we will walk you through every step of the process and create the wedding cake of your dreams, even if it is smaller than you might have once imagined. To get started, just fill out our Wedding Survey above!
We created this custom Incredibles cake and matching smash cake to help Kay and Bryce Harper celebrate their son Krew’s 1st birthday. It was an intimate party, but they went big with the decorations with help from Bianca Makris, Philly Marquee and photos by Kseniya Berson. Happy 1st birthday, Baby Harper!
Our decorator Mitch created this adorable custom doggo cake for a customer who wanted to celebrate the fact that they are planning to adopt a Boston Terrier later this year. Here at Whipped Bakeshop, we love making animal cakes, and we have a whole line of original kawaii cakes that we’ve created. If you’d like to celebrate your furry friend, you have come to the right place!
This week’s #QuarantineCarePackage includes our ahhhmazing giant chocolate chip cookies, salted caramel Sasquatch brownies and CakeCups in surprise flavors. Available in standard ($20) and deluxe ($40) sizes and guaranteed to lift spirits.
We’ve added delivery to limited zip codes (additional fee), or you can opt for safe contactless pickup at Whipped Bakeshop. Once we get your order, we will send you a link to select your pickup time slot. Please wear a mask and maintain proper distance when you arrive.
Pickups and deliveries will be on Friday, May 1 or Saturday May 2.
PS: Huge thanks to everyone who ordered cupcakes for this weekend! It was so fun putting together all the orders. We loved seeing everyone in their fancy masks, even if it was through glass.
